Indiana may become the latest state to require public schools teach students to wait until marriage to have children — part of a newly popularized, yet controversial, effort based on an early 2000s theory that following a specific "success sequence" could virtually eliminate poverty.
The sequence, which Senate Bill 88 adds to a list of "good citizenship instruction," includes earning a high school degree, getting a full-time job and waiting to have kids after marriage.
