Senior Fellow with the Family First Technology Initiative
Daniel Cochrane is a Senior Fellow with the Family First Tech Initiative at the Institute for Family Studies where he focuses on AI and data governance. He is also a founding member of Alliance for a Better Future’s advisory council and helps to shape the organization’s AI policy agenda.
Prior to IFS, Daniel was a senior researcher at The Heritage Foundation’s Center for Technology and the Human Person. While at Heritage, he focused on Big Tech accountability, kids’ safety, and emerging tech policy. He has provided expert testimony before multiple state legislative committees and government commissions. He has also been cited, published, or appeared in prominent media outlets including Politico, Compact, Fox News, and Real America’s Voice. Prior to Heritage, Daniel helped develop and launch a shareholder engagement platform and corporate benchmark to ensure that Fortune 1000 companies respect faith and civil liberties.
Daniel holds a B.A. in government from Patrick Henry College with a concentration in political theory.
