A new study released Tuesday reveals a significant divide between states, suggesting declining marriage and family stability in predominantly blue states are hindering economic mobility, education, and contributing to higher crime rates. Conversely, red states reportedly thrive under more stable family structures.
The 2026 Family Structure Index, compiled by the Ohio-based Center for Christian Virtue (CCV) in collaboration with the Institute for Family Studies, examined critical factors including marriage rates, family stability, and fertility rates. The report, as cited by Fox News, also considered cost of living, religious participation, family instability, and education levels.
