The Heritage Foundation, a conservative policy group that was involved in the development of the Republican agenda for the second Trump presidency, Project 2025, published a report on Jan. 8 aimed at reshaping U.S. family policy.
Titled “Saving America by Saving the Family: A Foundation for the Next 250 Years,” the report assumes a “family crisis” in the United States that must be ended by “restoring the family home” based on what it calls “two truths”: “The first is that all children have a right to the affection and protection of the man and woman who created them. The second is that the ideal environment in which to exercise this right is in a loving and stable home with their married biological parents.”
