Should Conservatives Favor Child Allowances?

On March 2, AEI’s Scott Winship hosted an event on child allowances with AEI’s Robert Doar, W. Bradford Wilcox, Angela Rachidi, Lyman Stone, Matt Weidinger, and Timothy P. Carney.
Dr. Winship introduced the series of legislation related to child allowances that is being voted on later this week. Mr. Doar explained how his background as a commissioner in New York informs his perspectives on these issues. Dr. Wilcox balanced the discussion, as he argued for a child allowance, while Mr. Doar and Dr. Winship argued against one.
