A go-to policy option of requiring a human to have the final say in making crucial decisions, with the help of artificial intelligence, is a good first step but not in itself sufficient to ensure an appropriate level of dignity is involved in such processes, according to faith leaders organized by Americans for Responsible Innovation.
“We're very focused on peacemaking and peace building, and I think it has to start before that … to ensure we're really prioritizing the value of human life. There are [other] policies that could be in place,” said Meredith Gardner, director of media literacy for Mormon Women for Ethical Government.
