As the rates of divorce rise in Arkansas alongside the decline of Christianity in many age groups across the country, Catholics are tackling the issues of divorce, marriage preparation, annulment and counseling.
According to a study released in early October by the U.S. Census Bureau, using 2022 American Community Survey data, Arkansas had the highest divorce rate, significantly above the national average. While the national divorce rate is 7.1 divorces per 1,000 women, Arkansas sits at 11.9 divorces per 1,000 women.
