In his joint address to Congress tonight, President Donald Trump will try to impose a coherent vision for America’s future, with tech playing a central role.
During his campaign, Trump sold himself as the candidate of tech’s “builders,” promising a vision powered by space exploration, artificial intelligence and cryptocurrency. His early moves — including backing a $500 billion artificial intelligence investment, proposing a national crypto reserve and promising to put American boots on Mars — have already earned applause from the Silicon Valley right and its Republican allies.
