CHARLOTTE, N.C. – While economists say the U.S. could be headed to a recession, money isn’t the only thing couples are seeing less of. According to the Institute for Family Studies, Americans are having a record low amount of sex.
In 1990, the institute found that 55% of adults ages 18–64 reported having sex weekly. By 2024, that number had fallen to just 37 percent.
