Marriage rates refer to the % of never-married adults ages 22-39 who got married in the previous year. Religious adherence is defined as the number of congregants (regardless of age) within a grouped PUMA as a % of its population. Adherence percentages are based on weighted county-level averages for PUMAs rather than actual PUMA-level data and should thus be interpreted with caution.
